For me, I have to let go of any idea that there's such a thing as "success" when it comes to actual meditating, Really, what you're practicing is failure. It's like with strength training, if there's no resistance, there's no point. If you could actually sit for 10 minutes and have no thoughts (which is impossible), you wouldn't need to meditate. Clearly, I need to teach a class on meditation for people who hate and suck at meditation.
Lol, “frolic with my spirit animal in flower-filled fields”. 😂 The hardest part of meditating for me is getting myself to start! And I fully admit that using a 10 or 15 minute lightly guided meditation helps a lot. Sometimes I’ll keep going after that but sometimes not. Last year I learn the basics of Jin Shin, and I use some energy holds when I meditate because it gives me a place to focus. That helps me a lot. But I love that you keep doing it, because it does help you.
Guided meditation is meditation. Hell, anything we do in our lives mindfully is meditation, including taking beautiful pictures of birds! I'll have to check out Jin Shin.
You are the best.
❤️❤️
Perhaps it’s lack of practice, but I have never once felt like I successfully meditated.

I’d try out a class at least once!
