What a super valuable list, I love everything on it! I also think I need a new cat. Mine would never tolerate my face in her belly lol. But she does sit on my lap when I watch TV, so I guess that’ll do. 😊
I’ve always wondered if some aliens from space will come and be horrified at our divisions and classifications of animals—and their reciprocal treatment.
That sounds amazing, Margaret! So happy for you and thanks for the birthday wishes! This time next month, Jeff and I will be on a boat on the Rhine River, which is almost as cool as being on a train in Milan.
Happy birthday, Robyn, on our shared day of Marching forth! Thanks for the shoutout in #3 . . . yes, the wonderfulness of the pitch clock caught me totally off guard, I'll be the first to admit. And your list may be random, but it is totally NOT useless (and I'm not arguing with you on the internet.) I really liked the couplet of #5 and #6 - so true. Thanks for sharing these. And I hope you avoid the flu and your husband gets better soon. DJB
Happy birthday and I love this so much! I’m astonished by how many people I love were born on March 4 or March 5. It is apparently an excellent time to be born.
One of my favorite things about Donald Hall's LIFE WORK is how much he writes and thinks about baseball!
Cool! I'll have to check that out.

This is the only cat I've ever had who was gracious enough to allow such a thing, which makes her, of course, irreplaceable. Lap sitting is also good.
That’s a darn good list, Robyn!!
Especially, the being out of “fucks to give.”
Thanks, Ann. I learned from the best!
Loved every thing on the list, particularly 1, 5, 6, 9 and 17! Have a great birthday, and hope you stay well.
Thanks, Louisa! So far, so good.

I don’t think it will take aliens from space. Check out The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler. Intelligent life is already here and it’s not us!
Happy birthday!! Sitting on a train in Milan, very happy, but secretly also wishing I could bury my face in my cat's belly.

I would love to hear about it!

Thanks, David! Hope you had a great birthday! I did finish out yesterday watching a bit of spring training—Reds vs. Dodgers. 22 more days!

Thanks, Karen! There was a blizzard the year I was born. This year, sunny and 60s. It's certainly a turbulent time weather-wise to have a birthday.
Awesome, awesome lessons and rules!
And belated Happy Birthday!
Thanks, Henriette!
Happy Birthday a little late!
Thanks so much!
You’re so awesome!! Happy belated birthday, Robyn!
Thanks so much!
